Independent study- (week two)

Ideate - I have made visual matrix's which links to each of my sites and gathered more primary information (images of sites) in my workbook. I need to show my work and get feedback so that i can create more ideas and move on into designing and 'Make'.

Feedback
after printing out my image matrix's at A3 in class i got some feedback about them and what i should do next.
-patterns and textures working well
-colour palettes work with each site
-need to relate more to theme (walkways)
-show imagery of actual walkways
-start adding own materials into it (own photos)

After referring back to the colour and patterns of my visual matrix's, i came up with a few quick designs expressing the tones and mood of the matrix of the sites.

These two designs were a take of the visual matrix for the botanical gardens. I wanted to explore the patterns in which i saw at the botanical gardens (such as the flowers and leaves, and the close up textures of the leaf itself) but also the colours which were mainly green, representing the forna, and pink, which represented the flower displays.

For these tow designs i wanted to look at the colour, textures and patterns that i saw while at Eastbourne. The main colours that i saw were  blue, representing the sky and the sea and a golden browny white, representing the sand and the land. The patterns that i found which i used look 'beachy'  and represent the waves from the sea.

For these designs i used the colours from Mt Victoria which were green and brown, representing the forna and the land, and i used the patterns that resemble the life of the tracks which are leaves, trees, grass, etc.
I want to continue exploring the patterns which create experiences of my sites while viewing them. I need to make the patterns and colours work into other visual imagery of my sites and involve them in a interesting way in my compositions.
