Week One, session 1

Understand- for this assessment i have to create a brochure which visually communicates and promotes a theme/ activity and three different sites/ locations in the Greater Wellington region. I have to decode meaning and ideas from compositions, symbols and imagery to tell a story with my brochure. I have to relate back to Puna ( the well-spring of ideas and knowledge) and be aware of where my ideas have generated or come from.

For the first day of class we got into groups and discussed all of the unique and interesting things to see and do in Wellington for a visitor. after the group work we shared the ideas with the class to gather more information and ideas for ourselves so that we could choose a theme and sites for our project. The class talk helped to get everyones ideas out in the open so that we could have more choices and opinions to our theme.
