Research of more styles

I am not happy with my previous style so i want to do some more research which will improve my design and make it look better. Research from designspiration.com

I like how this has the photos in black and white and the only thing is in colour is the block colours and they titles. I want to explore this in my style.

I like how this incorporates the text and the imagery as one. I want to trial having the text over lapping the imagery.

I like how this has separated the text and the imager but the colour and type form has connected them back together again.

I like the style of having one large type. (this could represent the name of each location; E for eastbourne, V for mount vic and B for boanical gardens) I like how the imagery is inside the type which connects the two.

I like the negative space created in this one and how the photos wrap around the type. I think that this is my favourite example and i want to trial this to see of it works with my style and theme.

I like the background colour in this and i want to try adding some background colour to my brochure to see if it makes it more effective.

New style designs and critique

I wasn't happy with my last designs so i decided to change my style to something more abstract which has a dramatic amount of negative space.

These three design are the final for my new design of my new style. I like the negative space made in these but i don't think that it communicates enough about the sites and the activity. I feel as the photos of the locations are too rational and don't have emotive qualities. I used a small line of colour to show the main colours of the site but i don't think that it is enough to speak for itself. I am going to do some final research to see of there is any other styles that can make my design work better. I do like having the black and white photographs because it gives a sense of drama.

I tried adding more detail into the designs but i don't think it works for my theme/ style

I liked the way that all of use designs had geometric shapes, photos in triangular shapes and colours with a high opacity. I have decided to stick with this style because i think that it will work we'll for my brochure.
