Map Design
For a while i was unsure of what i should do for a map because nothing was working which suited my style and theme. It was hard do design a map which includes the harbour and not just streets. I came up with multiple maps but finally came up with one which worked well for my brochure and still included the triangular styles.

Week 5, Session 2
Designing map:
This is my final map. I created the lines on illustrator and used cropped triangular shapes of the photos of the locations. This sticks with the triangular theme and makes it look interesting, quirky and easy to recognise the sites. Moving the map over to the right and the text over to the left has improved this because it looked cramped and sandwiched before when it was between two text boxes but it can breathe now. I also added waves where the harbour is because before you couldn't tell what was land and what wasn't. This gives a clear indication that there is water here.
Researching printing options
I researched Ink Digital in Marian Street, Wellington. This place has many types of paper to print on and are able to print up to A0. The website has all the information and has a cost calculator and a
average time to print so you are prepared before you go into print. I had also asked classmates about this placed they said that it was a good professional place to print.
Binding:
i will bind my brochure with staples (ink digital staple printed documents) because i don't want the binding to be the main attraction of my brochure, i want the design and content to be the winner.
Critique: micro detail in physical work book.
